It is not just the AdAmmine inside the cartridges that is solid. The whole system is very solid and robust as well.

A system software control ensures accurate output under all driving conditions, also during cold ambient conditions. In fact, our system has been tested in air temperatures below -25° C.

The ammonia release from the cartridge can be done by either electrical heating or engine coolant waste heat. Both types of heating mechanisms are based on technologies that are mechanically simple and can endure the tough conditions on the road.

During city driving, the engine exhaust is somewhat cold - typically below 200° C.

As the graph shows, the use of our system enables dramatic performance improvements compared to a liquid-based system using so-called AdBlue® as an indirect ammonia carrier (urea).
