Modelling, evolution and degradation of the microstructures of foamy salts for ammonia storage (MEDSAS)

  • The absorption of ammonia changes the properties of the AdAmmine significantly on the microscopic scale in especially the gas permeability, heat transport and mechanical stress. At a macroscopic length-scale, the changes sum up to significant pressure drops, temperature gradients and forces redistributing the material itself.
  • The main objective of this project is to provide additional knowledge and tools to optimize further the performances and lifetime of the AdAmmine cartridges.
